So I just got back from an incredible trip to Japan, and I figured that there was no better souvenir for myself than my very own Japanese PSVR game. I looked around and ultimately settled on, a game that has been released in the US, but only got VR support in Japan.

I chose this game because I liked that it was in a Japanese art style and people online said that the storyline isn't necessary for gameplay and it's very easy to figure out without knowing Japanese. I checked that there was no region lock on disc PS4 games, bought the game, and eagerly waited until I was back in the US to give it a try.All I can say is, wow!! What a different type of VR game!

Basically you hover over the arena as you input different type of hack and slash combos and it is so so fun. I don't think we've seen many games with this type of VR implementation and I am so happy that I got to treat myself with this one. Definitely one of my new favorite PSVR games because it is so easy to just sit down and play when I'm in the mood to just kill a bunch of goblins. And the controls are so simple and there are lots of unlockables to obtain, all without there being a language barrier. The point of me making this post is to say that if you have access to a Japanese PSN account, I would definitely recommend picking this up. Or maybe you're going to Japan for vacation like I did! If so, you gotta get this game.I have uploaded gameplay videos I recorded of both the game in VR and in regular mode so you can see how they compare:One thing that stands out with this game is that the HUD is actually fixed to your 'face' so to speak so it moves around as you look around, which was strange at first but definitely a different approach than I've seen.TL;DR - Bought a Japanese PSVR game called Croixleur Sigma and it's really different and really fucking cool.
